About me

Hi! I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Statistics and Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I am also a Junior Research Affiliate at L’EMbeDS Department, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, where I have previously been an Honors student in Economics, supervised by Profs. Francesca Chiaromonte and Andrea Mina. I come from Torre de’ Roveri, a small and beautiful town on the foothills of the Orobie Mountains, Italy.

2023/12/12: We have just released our new preprint, which describes the pipelines needed to process gridded climate data as to provide ready-to-use, reliable, and up-to-date climate variables at the resolution of countries and regions. You can find out more here

2023/08/14: I am starting my Ph.D. journey at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA. I am very excited to join the Department of Statistics and Data Science!

2023/07/20: Our new paper on the comparison between the first two waves of the COVID-19 epidemics in Italy is available as a preprint here

2023/06/01: I am very happy to join L’EMbeDS Department of Excellence at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, as a Junior Research Affiliate

2023/03/28: The paper introducing FAStEN, our efficient algorithm for feature selection and estimation in functional regressions, is available as a preprint here

2023/03/22: I graduated in Economics and Management from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, with a thesis on the analysis of bibliographic data of publications in genome research, exploiting networks and functional data. This concludes my journey as a Honors student at Sant’Anna!
